Job description

Creative Audio seeking a Creative Coder for Tech & Prototypes. Collaborating with Engineering and Product Design to define sound functionality and deliver advanced audio systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams for state-of-the-art audio functionality, tooling and pipeline solutions
  • Provide audio engineering guidance to empower sound designers and composers
  • Develop innovative audio-focused prototypes using design tools and programming languages across multiple platforms
  • Drive audio-specific features ensuring scalability and performance
  • Communicate prototype design decisions to stakeholders
  • Test implementation accuracy and optimize sounds in products
  • Leverage code as design medium to bridge product goals and engineering

    • Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years implementing/coding sonic experiences for mobile, hardware, or immersive environments
  • 3+ years development with C++, Kotlin, Javascript, RUST, or Python
  • Object-oriented programming and design experience
  • DSP and audio signal processing understanding
  • LLM and prompt engineering experience
  • Version control systems experience
  • BA/BS in Audio, Music Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent

    • Preferred:

  • Spatial audio experience
  • AI audio pipeline building
  • Generative sound/music
  • AR/VR audio implementation (Unity, Unreal, Spark)
  • WebAudio/Tone.js/OpenAL
  • Embedded software development
