Job description

Instagram Private Sharing seeks a product designer for a small team defining friend sharing experiences. Mission focuses on helping people connect over shared interests through lightweight, low-pressure formats like Notes, Map, Instants, and Consumer Subscriptions.

Responsibilities:

Convert broad ideas into valuable products for 2B+ users

Design end-to-end flows at scale

Drive design prioritization to meet timelines

Create improved visual systems and layouts

Communicate strategic product direction

Collaborate cross-functionally

Influence product alignment across organizations

Provide mentorship

Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Design, HCI, CS, or related field plus 8+ years experience

Shipped applications at company-scale in ambiguous domains

Interaction design experience with prototyping tools

Visual design proficiency in typography, UI, color, layout, iconography

Strategic product thinking

Experience presenting to executives

Demonstrated leadership impact

Experience with vibe coding and AI tools
