Job description

Senior Product Designer

Designing learning experiences across mobile apps, websites, and communications. Lead work streams independently, mentor peers, collaborate with engineers and PMs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prototype learning experiences for the Duolingo app
  • Lead large initiatives with autonomy
  • Serve as peer leader and mentor within Design
  • Expand Duolingo's design language alongside artists
  • Partner cross-functionally to shape what gets built
  • Consider animation, copy, UI, and business metrics holistically

    • Required Qualifications:

  • Portfolio showcasing consumer mobile app work
  • High visual design and interaction detail standards
  • Rapid high-fidelity prototyping ability
  • Experience shipping products at scale
  • Clear communication and design documentation skills
  • A big appetite for feedback

    • Preferred: AI/LLM experience, motion/animation expertise, brand strategy understanding.
