Summary

The Apple Design and Technology Evangelism team seeks a Design Evangelist for Worldwide Developer Relations. This role focuses on helping third-party developers adopt Apple's platform design system and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and present design-focused sessions for developer audiences
  • Conduct one-on-one UI design consultations with third-party developers
  • Direct content creation for WWDC sessions including structure, messaging, slides, and delivery
  • Judge entries for the Apple Design Awards
  • Refine Human Interface Guidelines with detailed feedback
  • Build and maintain UI kits for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, watchOS for Figma and Sketch
  • Ensure templates, components, and assets maintain accuracy and organization
  • Partner with design tool creators on best practices for resource distribution
  • Key Qualifications

  • 5-8 years in product design, systems design, or related fields
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and public speaking abilities
  • Strong mastery of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and platform components
  • Experience maintaining large-scale design systems or shared resource libraries
  • High proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Exceptional attention to detail regarding layout, color, and typography
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across various industries (health, fitness, education, medical, finance, news)
  • Direct experience with Apple SDKs and tools like SwiftUI, UIKit, AppKit, Xcode
  • Accessibility concepts and best practices knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, Human-Centered Design, or equivalent
