Brand Designer, Website Role

Clay seeks a talented designer to create a cohesive, beautiful experience that tells the story of the company's creativity, flexibility, and power. The marketing website is critical to Clay's success.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build web experiences in Webflow end-to-end, from concept through launch, including product pages and experimental brand moments using thoughtful clear design
  • Ship quickly with high taste, making strong design decisions under speed with fast launch cadence
  • Design cutting-edge web experiences where the brand is felt, not explained, ensuring every interaction, launch, and detail reflects Clay's values and ethos
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Growth, and events to translate goals into web experiences
  • Push Clay's web presence forward by exploring ways to make the brand distinctly human, confident, intentionally creative and ever curious
  • Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years visual design for the web
  • Experience building in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Webflow CMS
  • Familiarity with Three.js, GSAP, Next.js, and React development
  • Love of going from idea to production without relying on handoffs
  • Strong design judgment and taste under speed
  • Systems mindset with willingness to break rules when appropriate
  • Focus on interaction, motion, and storytelling over static comps
  • Excitement around experimentation and shipping
  • Portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills, attention to detail, and understanding of typography, color, layout, and composition
  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Ability to accept feedback while maintaining opinionated style
  • Can-do, get-it-done attitude
  • Compensation & Location

    Salary: $135,000–$160,000 annually

    Equity: Offered

    Location: New York, NY

    Work Type: Full-time, Hybrid (most employees in office 3+ days weekly)

    Remote Option: Available for candidates outside NYC/SF
