Senior Product Designer, Platform Design

The Platform Design team is on a mission to fuel innovation through design. We don't just build tools: we shape world-class ecosystems and craft high-impact solutions that empower organizations to thrive in an increasingly complex digital world.

As part of the Shipping Our Expertise (SOE) team, this position represents a strategic shift at Spotify involving productizing the company's working methodology into emerging SaaS offerings. The role bridges Product UX, Brand identity, and Product Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Frame complex problem spaces and define the design strategy for our emerging SaaS catalog, exploring multiple solutions before landing on a high-conviction recommendation
  • Own the design quality and cohesion of sophisticated user journeys, ensuring our product UX and visual language are consistent, seamless, inspiring, and world-class
  • Contribute to and evolve a design system that supports a growing catalog of external-facing products, balancing existing Spotify paradigms with fresh, innovative visual instincts
  • Craft intuitive experiences for a wide range of customer types, from executive decision-makers to technical specialists
  • Expertly represent the design field in product rituals and high-stakes collaborator forums, including studio-wide All Hands
  • Leverage AI-assisted workflows and tools to expedite idea generation and rapid prototyping
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science leadership
  • Mentor other designers
  • Required Qualifications

  • Incredible aesthetic taste and instincts, 'sweating the details' of visual design while remaining grounded in functional, high-utility product UX
  • Ability to translate Spotify brand energy into professional SaaS contexts
  • Proven track record partnering cross-functionally in a complex product environment, such as scaled tech companies, platforms, or leading agencies
  • Product marketing experience and proficiency with content management systems (Webflow preferred)
  • Ability to simplify complex workflows for diverse user groups
  • Strong communication and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Commitment to continuous learning in the SaaS landscape
  • Location & Work Arrangement

    This role is based in London (UK) or Stockholm (Sweden). The position offers flexibility to work remotely with some in-person meetings required.
