Product Designer I, Core Experience

We design Spotify's consumer experience—end to end, moment to moment, across every screen, platform in service of making listening effortless and joyful globally.

Team Context

The Core Experience team shapes how millions discover and engage with audio daily within Spotify's mobile app, with junior designers working alongside experienced colleagues and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to mobile experience design for audio discovery and navigation
  • Support end-to-end design processes from exploration through delivery
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and marketers
  • Work directly with engineers on implementation details
  • Translate user insights into interaction and visual design decisions
  • Iterate through multiple ideas incorporating feedback
  • Design for iOS and Android platforms
  • Experiment with emerging AI capabilities for prototyping
  • Participate in design critiques and community learning
  • Qualifications Required

  • 2+ years of experience designing digital products through roles or internships
  • Mobile platform design experience with iOS/Android fundamentals
  • Ability to move from ambiguity toward clarity with guidance
  • Clear communication of design thinking and trade-offs
  • Commitment to user needs and measurable impact
  • Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams
  • Curiosity about personalization and emerging technologies
  • Active exploration of AI tools and workflows
  • Portfolio demonstrating process, craft, and outcomes
  • Location & Work Arrangement

    Based in Stockholm or London with flexibility to work from home, requiring in-person presence three times weekly.
