Role Overview
The company seeks a senior-level professional to craft user experiences driven by advanced AI at the intersection of design, engineering, and biotech R&D. Responsibilities include ensuring AI-based features are intuitive and helpful to scientists, managing the product lifecycle with quality focus, and supervising a junior product designer and two QA team members.
Key Responsibilities
1. AI-Driven UX & Visual Design - Create interfaces for multi-agent workflows; simplify lab tasks into intuitive layouts; collaborate with AI engineers on real-time data handling
2. Prototyping & Testing - Build prototypes using Figma/React/Replit; conduct user testing with scientists; iterate based on feedback; manage junior staff
3. Tech Stack Integration - Understand backend systems (Node, Java, Python); align front-end prototypes with existing architecture; collaborate on Docker/Kubernetes deployments
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with computational biologists; contribute to data pipeline design; ensure consistent UX across platforms
5. Product Strategy & Leadership - Measure success through feature stickiness; mentor junior team members
