Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Design, you'll lead a world-class design team and shape the vision across Phantom's multi-chain wallet experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic design leadership ensuring alignment with company mission and goals
  • Manage, mentor, and scale high-performing product designers
  • Champion design excellence, accessibility, and simplicity across platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders on product roadmap and user journeys
  • Elevate design systems and operational processes for consistency and scalability
  • Foster user-centered thinking and rapid iteration culture
  • Represent design in company initiatives and executive reviews

    • Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years product design experience
  • Experience building and managing design teams
  • Track record shipping mobile-first consumer products at scale
  • Proven ownership of core product flows, not auxiliary features
  • Strong product judgment balancing user needs with business goals
  • Extensive data-driven design validation experience
  • Deep understanding of design systems and interaction design
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to balance strategy with hands-on design work
  • Passion for mentoring designers at all levels
  • Crypto experience or demonstrated interest in decentralized ecosystems

    Salary: $278,000 - $328,000 base (plus equity and bonuses)
