Our take

Gamma is an interesting AI-native presentation tool with strong design DNA. A product designer here works on a creative tool used by millions — solid foundation for impactful work.

Job description

About us

We're building the creative layer for modern communication. Every month, over a billion people make presentations — but the tools they use to make them haven't evolved in decades. We're changing that, using AI to disrupt a massive market.

📈 Millions of people rely on Gamma to create, teach, and persuade, creating more than 1 million gammas every day.

💻 We see Gamma as the next great workplace tool, combining viral B2C love with a massive B2B opportunity. We believe AI can be a true creative partner: one that understands context, clarity, and taste.

💸 We’ve reached a $2.1B valuation, crossed $100M in annual recurring revenue, and have been profitable since 2023.

💙 We're an imaginative, passionate team who takes our work seriously, but not ourselves. Our culture is warm, a little quirky, and fueled by curiosity.

About the role

You'll own the end-to-end design of features that millions of people use to create, teach, and persuade. From messy 0–1 explorations to polished 1–n refinements, you'll collaborate daily with PMs, engineers, and designers to scope, prototype, test, and ship features across Gamma's core product surfaces.

This role demands someone who can work fast and light: creating quick prototypes, running lean experiments, and iterating based on data to hit measurable outcomes. You'll balance speed with craft, knowing when to polish pixels and when to ship and learn. If you've designed for modern productivity tools and understand how people actually work, you'll thrive here.

Our team has a strong in-office culture and works in person 4–5 days per week in San Francisco. We love working together to stay creative and connected, with flexibility to work from home when focus matters most.

What you'll do

Own problem areas from concept to launch, producing flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity specs with an eye for usability and craft

Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and designers to scope, design, prototype, test, and ship features across core product surfaces

Work fast and light by creating quick prototypes, running lean experiments, and iterating based on data to drive measurable outcomes

Define success criteria and ship features that move activation, retention, or conversion

Partner tightly with engineering to ensure designs are feasible, performant, and maintainable

Conduct user research, usability testing, and design critiques to validate and refine solutions

What you'll bring

4+ years of end-to-end product design experience, ideally on productivity or workflow tools, with a strong portfolio showing shipped work

Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools with ability to produce clear specs and collaborate closely with engineering

Metrics-minded approach with experience setting success criteria and shipping features that moved key metrics

Experience designing for modern productivity tools or ecosystems (Notion, Craft, Notability, Glean) and understanding of user workflows

Ability to balance craft with velocity, knowing when to polish and when to ship and iterate

Strong visual design skills with attention to detail and understanding of design systems

Experience working in small, fast-paced teams where you owned projects from research to shipped UI

Compensation range:

$140K - $250K, plus competitive equity.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to experience and expertise in the requirements listed above.

If you're interested in this role but you don't meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway! We're always excited about meeting great people.
