  • Key Responsibilities

    Design Translation: Convert San Francisco aesthetic concepts into factory-buildable technical specifications. Serve as the "eyes and hands" for the SF Director managing physical samples and HQ logistics.

    Sourcing & Innovation: Scout materials, textiles, and coatings within China's supply chain for wearables. Collaborate on-site with vendors to advance finish capabilities.

    Quality & Execution: Define "Perfect Sample" standards and acceptable variation ranges. Resolve CMF failures during engineering pilots (EVT/DVT). Maintain bilingual CMF control documentation.

    Required Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Industrial Design, Material Design, or related field

    Technical Skills:

  • Deep materials knowledge (performance textiles, skin-safe silicones, advanced polymers, aluminum, titanium)
  • Manufacturing mastery: PVD coating, CNC machining, IMD/IML, anodizing, soft-touch spraying
  • Color science: Pantone, NCS, RAL systems; spectrophotometer proficiency
  • Software: Keyshot rendering, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience:

  • 5+ years in hardware-focused CMF roles (consumer electronics/wearables preferred)
  • Extensive China factory floor experience
  • Multi-national or remote HQ collaboration background
  • Wearable durability expertise (sweat, UV, cosmetics, abrasion resistance)
  • Language: Mandatory Mandarin and English fluency
